Review of Hormel Pepperoni

Pepperoni is pepperoni is pepperoni, right? No, not when it comes to Hormel Pepperoni.

Pepperoni is one of those things you have to get right.

The following is where it can go wrong:

  • Spices - You want to know you're eating pepperoni, but you don't want to be overwhelmed. Hormel has a great mixture of spices.
  • Grease - You shouldn't experience slippery digits when eating it by the slice. Hormel doesn't have excess grease.
  • Texture - When you eat it you should have a little firmness and an easy bite. Hormel does this.

Anchorman Review

Classic comedy is one of those things you never get tired of. Anchorman brings it into today's standards remarkably well.

Anchorman is the journey of Ron Burgandy, Will Ferrell,  from anchorman of the top rated newscast to the homeless man begging strangers. The cause of his downfall is a woman coming in and taking over his newsroom. Oh, yeah, it is the 1970s, too.

The woman is played by Christina Applegate and she does a great job dealing with the sexist and abusive nature of the workplace in the 1970s. She is brought in under pressure and Ron tries his best to force her out. Yes, there is raunchy humor, but it is well played and not too over the top.

Dasani Water Review

Sometimes I am a moron.

The best example I can give for this is the 50 mile bike ride I took in 90+ degree weather this past summer. Let's take a look.

This was the weather the day I took the ride.  92 degrees and high humidity. Awesome.

My route was all around the city:

53 miles

I bring this up only due to the fact I ran out of water and stopped by a McDonalds. There I bought a bottle of Dasani Water and I can truly say it is the best water ever invented.

The Name of the Rose Movie Review

The Name of the Rose is an ejoyable thriller with a nice who-done-it taste. It isn't a movie to run in the background while you are doing something else, though. You need to watch it and you will be rewarded.

Sean Connery is a sensational actor and I am always thrilled when I come across older movies of his. Sometimes they are weird (Zardoz) and sometimes they are awesome (The Name of the Rose). Be aware, this is Christian Slater's first movie role, so stick with it. I almost turned it off when I saw him.

Yes to Cookies Strawberry Banana Blitz Review

Yes to Cookies was a product that popped us new on our monthly Netrition visit. The cookies are listed as being "Truly sugar free gluten free" as opposed to falsely. Whenever you see the words gluten free and sugar free together it usually spells trouble.

We ordered the Strawberry Banana Blitz flavor and when they arrived we tried them. Now, understand that any kind of "free" cookie will have trade offs in taste, texture or size.

Yes to Cookies has none of these. They are delicious and well deserving of a normal cookie rotation let alone any kind of free cookie.
